My credentials are a B.S. from Ohio State in Computer Science in 1979, graduate work in computer engineering at Georgia Tech in the early 80's, and several jobs as a COBOL programmer from 1979 until 1988. In 1988 I switched careers to full-time mom.
In 2012, one of my volunteer organizations needed a website. I tried WordPress, Wix, and Weebly but got tired of jumping through all the hoops. In an attempt to understand how websites were constructed, I learned HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP, and ended up building a content management system of my own. Later, another organization needed a way to keep up with membership payments and communicate with members, so I wrote some software for this purpose. Felinia Cultural Society.
The demos on this website are versions of software that I have written for real world users.
The name 'Light in the Window' refers to my habit of waking up before dawn and working on code projects when the rest of the neighborhood is asleep. Still coding like it's 1979!
